My name is Michelle McQuaid, and these days I’m a best-selling author, workplace wellbeing teacher and playful change activator. I help people find the confidence, energy and happiness to consistently thrive.
But my life wasn’t always like this. Back in 2007, despite living in New York with my beautiful family, working in a job that paid me more money than I could spend, and being in good health… each day it was becoming harder and harder to find the energy to drag myself into work.
The constant stress to prove myself in a job that had no real sense of purpose was slowly but surely draining away my confidence, my energy and my joy for life. A year later, this question led me to a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology, with the field’s founder, Professor Martin Seligman, to discover what science was uncovering about the secrets of human flourishing. What I learned finally made it possible to create the kind of personal and professional success that was beyond my wildest dreams.
Now I’m an honorary fellow at Melbourne University’s Graduate School of Education, and my work has been featured in Forbes, the Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, Boss Magazine, The Age, and many more.
