An honorary fellow at Melbourne University’s Graduate School of Education, Michelle McQuaid (MAPP) is a best-selling author, workplace wellbeing teacher and playful change activator. Having just completed her PhD under the supervision of Professor David Cooperrider on how AI Summits create positive disruptions in systems, Michelle has spent the last decade exploring the fusion between systems thinking, positive psychology, and appreciative inquiry. A practitioner at heart, with more than 25 years of global experience creating positive changes in systems of all sizes, Michelle thrives on helping people, teams, and organizations to create positive changes.
Louis Alloro is a change-agent, one of the first hundred people to earn a MAPP degree with Dr. Martin Seligman, and has been working as a social entrepreneur in this space since 2007. He is a senior fellow at the Center for the Advancement of Wellbeing, co-founder of The Flourishing Center’s Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) program, and co-founder of the Change Lab, a place for change-agents to become more empowered and effective. Louis loves helping individuals, organizations and communities become healthier and happier by using scientifically informed tools and strategies. He is currently pursuing his PhD in systems informed positive psychology and social impact evaluation.
With a Masters of Science in Coaching Psychology, Michelle Etheve specializes in enabling people to create purposeful, strengths-based change and to thrive as they create, learn, and experiment together. As co-founder of The Change Lab, she helps to create cultures of curiosity by teaching people how to design and ask better questions. Michelle has designed and delivered Appreciative Inquiry summits, positive change experiences, and coaching development programs in workplaces, schools, and communities around the world.

Be it creating positive changes across an entire system, one-on-one in coaching conversations, or anything in between, we are paid to teach and apply these skills every day in workplaces, schools, and communities around the world.
Each week you’ll attend a live 90 minutes class − We know this is a time commitment but there are so many great things we can give you to help you create more positive change in the world. The first 60 minutes are for teaching and the last 30 minutes for jamming on your questions and real-time challenges – so if you can only make an hour a week, you can drop off.
All classes are recorded – If you want to go back at your own pace, or you can’t make it to the live class one week, then you’ll have the recording, which is yours to keep.
Cheat sheets and challenges are provided – To help you transfer your learning into the real world, we’ll provide a cheat sheet summarizing the key content and a practical positive change challenge, so you can immediately apply what you’re learning.
Accountability is strongly encouraged – We know creating change can be hard – even when its positive change – so we’ll be checking in at the start of each call on your experience with your positive change challenge to help you maximize the value of this program.
A Positive Change Toolbox is built – Throughout the training, we’ll be giving you: a range of tools to help you craft generative topics, ask appreciative questions, hold strengths-focused coaching conversations, and design appreciative inquiry workshops and summits, to name just a few. These are yours to steal-with-pride and use to create more positive change in the world.
Support is ongoing – You will have access to a Slack chat channel to ask questions, share inspiration, and seek support throughout the training program. You can contact us and each other at any time through this medium, and no question is silly.
A certificate is awarded – Attend the classes and complete the challenges and we’ll provide you with a certificate for participation at the end of the program.

We’ll jump on Zoom (an online video conference platform you can access really easily through your web browser) and spend about 60 minutes teaching the content outlined for each module. Then we’ll open up for questions and reflections for the last 30 minutes. You can stay for the whole call or jump off when the teaching is done. All calls are recorded so you can revisit any part of them at any time.
