Minimizing psychosocial risks. Building cultures of safety and care
The complex, diverse, and dynamic nature of today’s workplaces and the growing list of psychosocial safety codes and their requirements, have made the traditional skills and tools on which most leaders tend to rely on obsolete and detrimental to their team’s safety, wellbeing, and performance. Studies have found, however, that even when leaders have the latest science and tools at their fingertips, it’s often not enough to build psychological safety at the individual, team, and organizational levels.
The secret lies in how frequently leaders invest in expressions of CARE – Compassion, Appreciation, Responsibility, and Emotional wisdom – as their teams go about their work. By embedding small actions of CARE into their existing role-modelling, routines, rituals, and rules, leaders can both minimize psychosocial risks and build psychological safety.
How do we know? As part of our “giving” mission, we invest our profits back into cutting-edge research, assessment tools, evidence-based programs, and coaching communities to discover the small actions that can have a big impact on leaders and their teams. It’s our mission to make the science and practices of thriving effective, affordable, and accessible to all.
