Not sure how to put that knowledge and information together in a simple, evidence-based and practical way that busy people can immediately apply and see results?
Let’s face it, it can be hard to keep up with all the great new research appearing daily on how we can improve our wellbeing. And while evidence-based insights instill confidence, they’re not always easy to apply practically in busy workplaces.
Imagine what it would feel like if you could:
If this is the kind of difference you want to make for others, then our Wellbeing Lab Toolbox gives you everything you need at the click of a button.
Hi, I’m Michelle McQuaid, and these days I’m a best-selling author, workplace wellbeing teacher, and playful change activator who works with organizations and schools around the world to help people and teams thrive.
But it wasn’t always this way.
Ten years ago I completed my Masters in Applied Positive Psychology with Professor Martin Seligman. I thought once I’d learned all the latest science on wellbeing, I’d be all set to make a difference in workplaces. Then I ran my first workshop. In an auditing firm of all places. And I quickly realized that, despite liking the fact that what I was teaching them was evidence-based, they really just wanted practical ways to be able to immediately integrate these ideas into their already too busy days.
There was nothing in the academic articles or books that told me how to do this.
So I began interviewing researchers and coaching leaders, and experimenting with teams to try and help people become more intelligent, active participants in shaping their own wellbeing each day at work. A few years later, an independent assessment of our programs by the University of Melbourne found that more than 91% of our workshop participants were confident they could apply the knowledge and skills they learnt, and 98% recommended our programs to their peers. Phew!
But how could we share what we learned, to help more people truly thrive at work?
It was clear that one practitioner alone could never meet the growing need for helping people to improve their wellbeing at work. So I spent the next few years packaging these ideas up in a way that was credible, accessible, and affordable, so that teachers, coaches, and leaders just like you could steal these tools with pride and help more workplaces to thrive.
Now, with the help of the incredible facilitation queen, Rebecca Melville, and our Wellbeing Lab team, we’ve packaged everything we’ve learned about workplace wellbeing into our done-for-you, steal-it-with-pride, Wellbeing Lab Toolbox. It is our heartfelt hope that it helps you and others to thrive.
